Home Support Worker Program to open March 31, 2025

IRCC has recently provided more information about upcoming Home Caregiver Program. The program is opening on March 31, 2025 and is only for in-Canada applicants working in the care sector (i.e., care providing agencies or private homes) or those who have some education and training in the care sector.

Applicants applying from abroad will be selected at a later date.

For now, applicants with the following credentials may be eligible.

• have a minimum of level 4 in English or French in the CLB or NCLC
• have the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma (or higher)
• have at least 6 months of recent and relevant work experience or a related caregiver training credential
• have an offer for a full-time home care job
